Roppongi Hills Sign Improvement for Pedestrians
Involved term: 1999-2008
Client: Mori Building Co., Ltd.

As many as 300,000 people visited on the opening day of Roppongi Hills in 2003. As it is located on an undulating site, and shopping alleys are complicatedly structured, people who visit there for the first time have difficulty finding their way. In the improvement project, we improved the shop address signage. We intended to turn visitors’ uneasiness into expectations as to what they can find there by linking shop information with the town guide and website of Roppongi Hills.

Sign Systems for Office Floors of Roppongi Hills and its Parking Facilities
Involved term: 2001-2004
Client: Mori Building Co., Ltd.
Roppongi Hills

The sign system for offices and parking facilities was carefully prepared in nearly two years. For offices, we had a number of meetings to harmonize signs with the interior design by KPF Design. For the signs of 12 parking facilities in the site, various elements were coordinated in order to show the contrast to the surroundings. For both sign systems, consideration was given to express the prestigious status of Roppongi Hills.
